Shared Hosting Terms

B1. What is included

• Web space, databases, email mailboxes, free SSL certificates and the other resources stated in the description of the chosen plan.
• The server, the operating system, the panel and the base software are managed and updated by Eurhosting.
• The Customer manages its own websites, applications (for example WordPress and its plugins), content and mailboxes, and is responsible for keeping them updated.

B2. Fair use of resources

The server is shared with other customers. Even where a plan states "unlimited" resources, reasonable use for a normal website or business applies. The following are not permitted:

• processes that use CPU, memory or disk excessively and continuously, or that slow down other customers;
• using the space as a file archive, as backup storage for other systems, for distributing large files or for streaming;
• sending spam or mass newsletters (Deliveru exists for the latter);
• always-on processes, bots, game servers or mining.

If a website exceeds reasonable use, Eurhosting notifies the Customer and proposes a suitable plan. If the problem harms other customers, Eurhosting may immediately restrict the website or process concerned.

B3. Email

Mailboxes are subject to sending limits in order to protect the reputation of our servers. An account that sends spam, even because it has been compromised, may have its sending blocked immediately until the issue is resolved. The Customer is responsible for the security of mailbox passwords.

B4. Website security

The Customer shall keep CMSs, themes and plugins up to date. If a website is compromised and spreads malware or spam, Eurhosting may suspend it until it has been cleaned. Cleaning compromised websites is not included in support and may be offered for a fee.

B5. Backups

The included backups are intended for recovery in the event of a failure and are provided with no guarantee of completeness. A restore requested by the Customer may be charged at €50.

B6. Availability

Eurhosting works to keep the server available at least 99.7% of the time on a monthly basis. This is a target, not a guaranteed SLA: any lower availability does not entitle the Customer to refunds, credits or compensation.

B7. Support

Included: operation of the server, the panel, email and base services; help configuring the domain name, mailboxes and certificates. Not included: development and fixing of the Customer's websites, plugins or code.

B8. Domain names

A domain name included with or purchased together with the plan is registered in the Customer's name, and the Customer remains its holder even if it changes provider, save where amounts are owed to Eurhosting for that domain name.
